Saved by the bell

Yeah!, we have a host for August. C. Titus Brown (Lab page) has volunteered. It will be his first, and he will host on his blog Living in an Ivory Basement.

And the September edition will be at Sam Hardman's blog Ecologica.

The imminent death of CoE

Ten days form now the next edition of Carnival of Evolution should go up. However, we do not have a host...

What to do? Basically, without anyone to host, CoE will die. It may then revive the following month, but it's not like anyone has volunteered to host September either.

Are you willing to host?
Know anybody who might be?
Any other ideas?

The 73rd Carnival of Evolution is up on Pleiotropy: World Cup edition.

We are desperately looking for someone to host the 74th CoE in August. Any volunteers?

Do you care about the science behind evolution? Do you marvel at the tiny molecular machines spewing out coded messages to the microscopic inhabitants of your own bodied world? Do you grow irate at the ignorance pushers and the disintegration of evolution education in the modern world? Do you like to stay abreast of current topics and scientific findings in the study of the organismal existences surrounding us or those long gone?

If so, this is the blog carnival for you. (Don't know what a "blog carnival" is? Read this.)

If you have posts either directly or indirectly related to evolution, submit by commenting with a URL on the Facebook page.

Your posts can be specifically related to current science concerning evolution, opinions, or dealing with whatever current anti-evolution attacks you find in the media or world. Really, anything related to evolution, whether direct or tangential, is fair game. Your inclusion in to the carnival is up to the current host.

Important: When your post is included in a CoE edition, please link back to the edition post from your own blog. Say something like "The CoE is up and I've been included."

If you want your posts read by more people, please submit the carnival edition to social bookmarking sites (Facebook, Twitter, G+, StumbleUpon, Digg, Reddit). Promotion is a key factor in creating a successful blog carnival!
